UNE THÈSE DE DOCTORAT PROPOSE UNE SOLUTION À LA RÉDUCTION DES IMPACTS ENVIRONNEMENTAUX SUITE AUX EMISSIONS DE GAZ A EFFET DE SERRE
L’université de Lorraine en France et celle d’Abomey-Calavi au Bénin ont enregistré depuis ce jeudi 16 Juillet 2020, un nouveau docteur. Il s’agit de Enagnon Christian ADADJA qui, après ses recherches sur la « Modélisation multi-échelles des propriétés élastiques du composite Argile-Paille de riz », a soutenu sa thèse de doctorat devant un jury composé des Professeurs de l’Université de Lorraine (France), de l’Institut des Sciences et Technologie de Luxembourg et de l’Université d’Abomey-Calavi.
Après ses recherches et expérimentations dans les laboratoires de l’Université de Lorraine en France et de l’Université d’Abomey-Calavi au Bénin, le tout nouveau docteur a rendu public les fruits de ses travaux. De son exposé, il est à retenir que le matériau composite Argile-Paille de riz est un matériau écologique performant, constituant une alternative à l’utilisation du ciment dans la construction des logements modernes en milieu rural et péri-urbain dans les pays en voie de développement.
Voilà, une possibilité qui vient réduire les impacts environnementaux suite aux émissions de gaz à effet de serre notamment le CO2 et la consommation d’énergie lors de la production du matériau ciment, l’extraction et le transport des agrégats sable et gravier, nécessaires pour la confection des mortiers et bétons. Il est aussi à souligner l’avantage en termes de coûts de construction et d’exploitation, lié à l’utilisation de ce composite dans les bâtiments.
En effet, la solution apportée par l’impétrant aux acteurs du secteur de la construction, contrairement à ce qui se faisait par le passé, offre une possibilité de prédire le comportement mécanique de la terre argileuse renforcée de fibres de pailles végétales sans prendre par forcément par des expérimentations en laboratoire dont le caractère fastidieux et onéreux n’est plus à rappeler. Cette thématique s’insère bien dans les objectifs de développement durable du Gouvernement du Bénin et de ceux, relatifs à la promotion des matériaux de construction de proximité dans notre pays. Satisfait par les arguments avancés par Christian ADADJA pour défendre ses travaux, encadrés par le Professeur Mohamed GIBIGAYE de l’Université d’Abomey-calavi au Bénin, du Professeur Hamid ZAHROUNI et du Professeur Mahdia HATTAB de l’Université de Lorraine en France, le jury international commis par les deux universités a accepté le travail en décernant à l’impétrant le double grade de :
- Docteur en Mécanique des Matériaux du génie civil de l’Université de Lorraine, France ;
- Docteur en Mécanique et Structures du génie civil de l’Université d’Abomey-Calavi, Bénin.
Le tout-nouveau, double Docteur a été chaleureusement félicité par les membres du jury international.
