Le Nigeria abrite depuis ce mercredi 27 octobre 2021 la CONFERENCE DU RESEAU DES PARLEMENTAIRES AFRICAINS MEMBRES DE COMMISSIONS DEFENSE ET SECURITE sous le thème : la coopération de défense et de sécurité entre l’Europe et l’Afrique : nouveaux mécanismes, (ré) appropriation et discussions.
Le but du REPAM est de renforcer les capacités des élus locaux en matière de contrôle des forces de défense et de sécurité et dans la lutte contre le terrorisme et autres formes de violence.
La présence des députés à cette conférence se justifie donc par le fait qu’ils constituent une composante essentielle du contrôle civil. Ils ont pour rôle de débattre, d’approuver, d’adopter et de surveiller la mise en application des lois et politiques du secteur de la sécurité et de s’assurer que celles-ci reflètent et prennent en compte les préoccupations des populations bénéficiaires.
Le Bénin présent à cette 5ème conférence représenté par le député de la 8è circonscription électorale Rachidi GBADAMASSI Président des Relations extérieures, de la Coopération au Développement, de la Défense et de la Sécurité de l’Assemblée nationale du Bénin, gagne la confiance des députés africains membres des commissions de défense et de sécurité et arrache le poste du PREMIER VICE-PRÉSIDENT de l’organisation au côté de Sha’aban Ibrahim Sharada, Président de la Commission de défense et sécurité, du Renseignement, de l’Intelligence et de la Conte-Intelligence du Parlement du Nigéria.
Cette élection ayant attribué le poste de Premier Vice-Président à l’honorable Rachidi GBADAMASSI a été possible grâce à l’habituel leadership de ce député de la huitième circonscription électorale qui ne ménage aucun effort pour mettre en œuvre son talent managériale en matière politique.
Connu pour sa détermination, le député Rachidi GBADAMASSI s’engage et engage le Bénin de Patrice TALON à jouer un rôle fondamentale dans la préservation de la sécurité dans la sous-région ouest-africaine au delà des frontières béninoises.
