Cependant, lors de sa dernière réunion avant celle des chefs des états-major, le président ivoirien Ouattara soutenu par son homologue du Bénin, a affirmé que la décision avait été prise et que l’ordre avait été donné pour une intervention, ne restant que des ajustements techniques à effectuer. Lesquels ajustements techniques sont fin prêts… le jour de l’intervention a été fixé a annoncé récemment le commissaire aux affaires politiques, à la paix et à la sécurité de l’organisation régionale, Abdel-Fatau Musah. Il a sans équivoque affirmé « Nous sommes prêts à résoudre le problème pacifiquement, mais il faut être deux pour danser le tango », a déclaré Abdel-Fatau Musah. Mais « nous n’allons pas être ceux qui frappent à la porte alors qu’ils nous la claquent »
Si les nouvelles autorités du Niger ont finalement accepté recevoir la délégation de la CEDEAO, elles ont saisi l’occasion de la présence de la mission diplomatique de la CEDEAO sur le sol nigérien pour annoncer, par la voix de son chef le Général Tchiani, une transition de trois ans et la création d’un organe national de dialogue. Cet organe établira les modalités d’une transition pacifique, une sorte de légitimation, indépendamment de la position de la CEDEAO. Et peut-être tant mieux pour la CEDEAO …
