Ce lundi 10 Janvier 2022, le Bénin célèbre comme chaque année la fête des religions endogènes traditionnellement appelé fête du vodoun. Pour cette 30è édition de la célébration du riche patrimoine culturel et cultuel béninois, l’acteur politique et conseiller municipal BR de la ville de Cotonou Léopold Gbénou était aux côtés des adeptes des religions endogènes du 13è arrondissement de la première métropole du Bénin. Accompagner pour l’occasion des élus locaux et chefs quartiers dudit arrondissement, l’homme s’est dit émerveillé par le travail de valorisation des religions endogènes qu’effectuent les gardiens de la tradition que sont les chefs traditionnels et autres dignitaires du culte vodoun au regard des différents tableaux à lui présentés par les adeptes du culte ORO.<< Si nous ne valorisation pas notre patrimoine, qui le fera à notre place? Si nous ne portons pas fièrement notre identité, qui le fera pour nous ? Il est important qu’en de pareilles circonstances, comme c’est le cas actuellement que nous nous retrouvions pour échanger sur comment valoriser d’avantage notre culture>> à t-il dit.
Tout en remerciant le conseiller Léopold Gbénou pour sa constante sollicitude et son soutien permanent envers les dignitaires du culte vodoun du 13è arrondissement de la ville de Cotonou, Marius Fagbédji Missihoun, porte parole à l’occasion des dignitaires des religions endogènes de cet arrondissement n’a pas manqué de lui exposer quelques difficultés auxquelles ces chefs traditionnels sont confrontés dans la préservation des us et coutumes béninois. Des préoccupations auxquelles, Léopold Gbénou à pris l’engagement d’apporter les jours à venir des solutions pour le rayonnement de la culture béninoise, gage du développement du pays. Il a également réitéré sa volonté de toujours accompagner ces dignitaires du culte vodoun dans la mission de préservation de la culture béninoise qui est la leur afin que les générations futures puissent aussi un jour profiter de ce riche patrimoine culturel et cultuel.
La célébration de la fête du 10 janvier ayant lieu à l’orée de la nouvelle année, le conseiller de la municipalité de cotonou a saisi l’occasion de cette fête pour présenter à l’assistance, au peuple béninois ainsi qu’ au chef de l’État Patrice Talon ses vœux pour 2022<< Je formule pour cette année, mes vœux de santé, de paix et de bonheur pour le Président de la République, pour tout le peuple béninois, aux populations du quartier Agla dans le 13è arrondissement et à tous les administrés de la ville de Cotonou. Cette année sera une année de prospérité pour tout un chacun de nous>>.
Dans une ambiance de gaité et de convivialité, les participants à cette célébration des fêtes des religions endogènes tenue au siège local du Bloc Républicain dans le 13è arrondissement de Cotonou se sont laissés emporter par les différents tableaux riches aussi bien en démonstrations culturelles que cultuelles présentées par les adeptes du culte vodoun.
