ELECTIONS GENERALES 2026 : BONI YAYI APPELLE A LA RESCOUSSE LA COMMUNAUTE INTERNATIONALE
Mes très chers compatriotes,
En ma qualité d’Ancien Président du Bénin, Président du parti d’opposition, Les Démocrates, je viens d’adresser une requête à l’Union Africaine, la CEDEAO, les partenaires bilatéraux et les autres de la communauté internationale les invitant à diligenter au Bénin une mission pour s’enquérir du cadre institutionnel mis en place par le Président Talon dans la perspective des élections générales de 2026.
J’ai informé cette communauté internationale que ce cadre n’est pas inclusif du fait de l’absence des représentants de l’opposition dans les instances chargées d’organiser les prochaines élections municipales, communales, législatives et présidentielles dans presque 2 ans. Après 2016, le Bénin n’a jamais réussi à organiser des élections inclusives, transparentes, équitables et pacifiques. Pour tenir compte des implications politiques, économiques, sociales et sécuritaires liées à ces exclusions dans le passé, j’ai donc souhaité que ces missions nous viennent en aide pour nous accompagner dans nos efforts afin que notre pays organise enfin des scrutins transparents et pacifiques.
Le peuple béninois appelle de tous ses vœux la tenue d’une concertation nationale pour mieux préparer et réussir ces élections générales consensuelles.
Je ne suis candidat à rien. Je suis citoyen béninois attaché à la paix et au vivre ensemble dans mon pays. Ce vivre ensemble implique aussi la libération des détenus politiques et le retour dans leur mère patrie, des exilés politiques et d’opinion.
