Le 31 Janvier 2020 à Cotonou au Bénin, il a été présenté au Bénin un nouvel outil pertinent développé pour la gestion des flux migratoires grâce à l’appui technique de l’Organisation Internationale pour les Migrations OIM.
Développé par les experts de l’Organisation Internationale pour les Migrations (OIM) en 2009, Le MIDAS_ Migration Information and Analysis Système (Midas) désormais opérationnel au Bénin est sur trois continents dont l’Afrique, l’Asie, et l’Amérique. C’est un système de gestion automatique des flux migratoires qui est ainsi mis en place et est adopté et qui en tant qu’instrument fera la collecte, le traitement, le stockage et l’analyse des informations en temps réels et à travers un réseau entier de frontières. La République du Japon a financé le développement de cet outil, avec l’appui technique de l’Organisation Internationale pour les Migrations (OIM).
Un outil qui permet de contrôler plus efficacement ceux qui entrent et quittent leur territoire, en offrant de surcroît une base statique fiable pour conduire leurs politiques migratoires.
