Le Port de Cotonou a fait environ 6 millions de tonnes au premier semestre de 2019 des chiffres qui confortent l’économie nationale

Depuis le début de l’année 2019, les #chiffres du Port de Cotonou ne cessent de monter. Le mois de juin a consacré pour une troisième fois consécutive la hausse du trafic portuaire. Une performance qui est essentiellement imputable aux trafics de vrac solide (qui a presque doublé), de conteneurs (25 mille tonnes additionnelles comparé à mai 2019) et dans une moindre mesure de vrac liquide (+10.834 tonnes). Ainsi, Comparativement au même mois de 2018, on note une forte croissance de 39%. Le tonnage global à l’import (transbordement inclus) sur la période cumulée fait près de 5 millions de T, soit 48% du budget import 2019. Quant au trafic export, le Port de Cotonou a enregistré 178.887 tonnes soit une diminution de 2% par rapport à mai 2019. Toutefois le trafic cumulé affiche une progression de 16% avec 782.322 T à mi-parcours de 2019 (soit 55% du budget export 2019) contre 672.458 T en 2018. Ces volumes sont justifiés par les exportations de coton, de cajou et de bois.
